How Can I Get Right with
God?
WHO IS GOOD?
ROMANS 3:10
As it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one.
WHO HAS SINNED?
ROMANS 3:23
For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
WHERE DID SIN COME FROM?
ROMANS 5:12
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through
sin, and in this way death came to all men.
GOD'S PRICE ON SIN.
ROMANS 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
OUR WAY OUT. JESUS PAID FOR
OUR SINS.
JOHN 3:16-17, 36
For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish
but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn
the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
vs. 36 - He who believes
in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not
see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
ROMANS 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.
ROMANS 10:9-11, 13
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to
shame."
vs. 13 - For whoever
calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
ACTS 16:31
Believe in the Lord
Jesus, and you will be saved.
1 JOHN 1:9
If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
If reading these Scriptures has helped you to understand that you have
sinned against God, the God who created the universe and created you for
fellowship, then you will know that you stand eternally condemned for your
sin.
BUT - the Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth as God's
perfect and sinless Son to die in your place to pay the price of your sin.
This is God's Gift to you. However, like all gifts - you must receive it!
HOW do I receive this gift?
Simple - talk to God and tell Him the following:
1. God I confess to YOU that I am a sinner
2. God I believe that you sent your only Son, the Lord Jesus to die and rise
again to pay the price of my sin.
3. God I ask that you forgive my sin and give me eternal life. I trust not
in any good things I have done to earn your favour but I trust in what Jesus
has done for me.
4. Thank you Lord for taking away my sin and giving me eternal life.
